Goood day everybody, Desmond Kuay here and I’ll be covering the recent game that just transpire! Before we go into details , let me just stat here that what a fantastic week of football it was. Almost all of the big team triumph into victory! First off we have the Manchester United with the undefeated streak, The Pensioners aka Chealsea with a fantastic hat-tricks, Manchester city dominating the last game against BlackBurn, Liverpool beating their all time rival Everton. However, the only team that seems to be left out is the Gunner, Arsenal who coincidently was against their rival Tottenham too.
Liverpool victory in the 216th Merseyside derby in Goodison Park.
It wasn't long after the kick off from Everton, a few fouls and goals attempts from both side that Liverpool Uruguay striker Luis Suarez became the wretch in the heart of Everton fans as the referee gave a red card to Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell after a sliding tackle on the 22nd minutes mark. Leaving Everton with only 10-men early in the game. Liverpool victory in the 216th Merseyside derby in Goodison Park.

However, Everton manages to keep their cool and plays just as well even when they are one man short. This is their home ground after all, even with a man down, they still stands a little advantage against the visitors. A few booking and fantastic goal attempts later, Liverpool striker Luis Suarez done it again by earning a penalty from Everton defender Phil Jagielka, making the Everton fans head banging once more on the 43rd minutes mark. But sadly for the Liverpool players and fans, Toffees goalkeeper Tim Howard made a tremendous save as he dives to safe the ball from Dirk Kuyt. Thus managing to survive, with The Reds pressing hard for the first half of the game.

"Until they lost a man it was even. Cahill had a header and Pepe made a great save."
Liverpool is currently on the 5th place with the total points of 13. Not a bad start of the season, many Liverpool fans are excited as well as happy for what Kenny is bringing to the table. He is indeed one of the best choice as Liverpool manager compare to the previous one. Only time will tell how far can Dalglish bring Liverpool to.
Cheer for Manchester United 19th successive home league win
What a game from United yet again, although it became a draw last game playing against Stoke City, The Red Devils are one of two teams who have yet to lose a game this season. Definitely an awe-inspiring start for United, even when Manchester City shares the same points as the Devils, many believes that United is on a far different level compares to City.
Anderson
Danny Welbeck
The two Manchester United players above are the ones who scores and lead United to their 6th win early this season. First, the egg breaker by Anderson. A perfect header to the top left corner assisted by Wayne Rooney. Second by Danny Welbeck, shooting to the bottom right corner after a terrific pass from our asian pride Park Ji-Sung. It was an exhilarating game all throughout the game. Minutes after the first half begins, Rooney, United top striker, attempted a shot outside the box. However it was saved by John Ruddy in the centre of the goal. In the same minute, which was the 3rd minute of the game, Norwich city striker Steve Morrison tries a header but missed the goal. Norwich City midfielder Bradley Johnson then tries a shot again just outside the box moments after Steve’s attempt but failed yet again.
Steve Morison
Wes Hoolahan
Elliot Bennett
Not at all a good start for Norwich City, however, Sir Alex Ferguson might had been furious because of Norwich City Midfielder Elliot Bennett got behind Patrice Evra with ease on the 5th to 6th minute mark and scored or made a good assist for Wes Hoolahan. That perhaps, was as close as Norwich City could had gotten to goal in the first half of the game. Many times were United caught off sides and fail attempts of scoring a goal. Many fouls were committed by both teams however at the end of the game, Danny Welbeck was the only one who had gotten a yellow card. And thus end the game of United agaisnt Norwich City.
Triumph from Chelsea against Bolton.
An awesome game from Chelsea Frank Lampard showing us he still got it and the importance of him in the team with a hat-trick in the Reebok stadium, quickly placing ‘The Trotters’ behind them in just 2 minutes in the game. With the visitors stomping all over the defence at will, Frank Lampard and Daniel Sturridge scoring 2 goals each at the start of the first half.
Frank Lampard, the 33 years old legendary player in Chelsea, manages to score a follow up goal on the 15th minute mark. A truly wonderful goal, a sleek, dynamic passing, loads of movement of a goal from which was assisted by Sturridge. Now, you would notice that even with an awesome assist and 2 goal from Daniel Sturridge, one at the beginning of the game and the other on the 25th minute mark when he found himself in a good open position on the right and fires a cursory low shot at goal where Bolton keeper, Bodgan tried his very best to dive and save but fail. Daniel Sturridge, a former Bolton striker loan by Chelsea, did not celebrated or even cheer as how scorer would normally.

Owen Coyle, Bolton manager was spotted looking at his watch already after Lampard succeeded in scoring his second on the 27th minutes mark. While it is very bad news for Bolton fans, they now stands at not only in the relegation zone, they have the most awful record against the London club for Chelsea won their last nine matches at the Reebok Stadium with 23 goals and 1 conceded goal. Never had Chelsea lost a game to Bolton. Including this game, Chelsea have won Bolton 13 times over and drawn only three times.
Coyle is currently going through a really tough time with his team Bolton as they have have lost six consecutive Premier League matches, in which they have conceded 21 goals in seven games and have lost 11 of their last 12 in the league. It is by far the worst start for 109 years. Coyle and the team who now have to come out with something to boost the team play and the mentally of the entire team as the match might be over, but the game is still far from it.

Frank Lampard did not stop from running riot on the game and fires a shot at an inviting height to head home seconds after a superior save from Luiz shot, where the ball reflected to Lampard who was in the right place at the right time with the right skills. A tremendous second goal for Frank Lampard in just 2 minutes after Daniel goal on the 27th minute mark. Even when beaten down 4 nail at the start of the game, Bolton did not lose faith and kept playin as best they could.
When second half started, Boyata, a striker from Bolton manages to fire a downward header assisted from Pedrov on the 47th minutes mark, just 2 minutes into the game. Coincidently around the same time Daniel score from in the first half, COME BACK ALERT!?
The striker of Bolton, Boyata. |
However, the team was quickly bought down to its knees again when Lampard was assisted by Drogba after a good long ball and played a seamless 2-2 against the Bolton defenders and fires at the bottom corner straight into his 6 hat-trick in his entire career. For those crazy Frank's fans out there, you would know that aside from this match, Frank Lampard had score 5 other hat-tricks in his entire carrer. Among them were on November 1997 his first treble for West Ham at the age of 19 in a League Cup win over against Walsall, 10 years later for Chelsea in a 6-1 FA Cup victory over Macclesfield. In the same year, October 2007, another League Cup hat-trick in a see-saw 4 – 3 victory of Leicester City. A year later in the 6-1 drubbing of Derby County, in March 2010, a quadruple this time against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge with a results of 7-1.

The main event, The Gunners against Spurs.
It’s bad enough that Arsenal are now the in the lowest placed among the capital’s clubs, just two points off the relegation zone positions and 12 points behind the leaders, but Mike Dean is officiating the game? Roll in ‘Referee Mike Dean Curse’. Many ‘claims’ that Mike Dean had bought a curse into Arsenal, excluding the lost against Spurs, The Gunners had lost 8 matches with Mike Dean officiating it. There was even a forum threat about getting rid of the ‘curse’ by summoning Harry Potter and also doing some sacrifice along with someone’s hair and finger nails. Oh no, seems like Mike’s going through a rough time too.
Who do you think you're talking to? I AM MIKE DEAN ! |
But enough about Mike, The game between Arsenal and Spurs was a match more than about a battle for supremacy between the two north London giants. But also a chance for Wenger to pick up his team’s spirits and convince his Arsenal fans and also the rest of the doubters that The Gunner are not in a free fall and will come back from their glory days once again. While on the other hand, a chance for Spurs to show the world just what they’re capable of and how they have improve.
Arsene Wenger, Manager of The Gunner. |
In contrast with Spurs four straight winning matches, Arsenal is not suffering from a four league defeats from seven matches. As written in the post before the last one, has Arsene We lost the game when we were on top and conceded two poor goals. After the second goal I think we defended badly. Overall we come out very disappointed because I felt we should not have lost. We lost too many balls today. At 1-1 we should have pushed on more."
Moving on to the game,
Van Der Vaart celebrating his goal with his fans. |
Arsenal started of the second half not bad, a tremendous goal from Ramsey, after same time of back and forth, the balls finally land on the foot of Song. Incidentally no one was pressuring him as he drove forward to cross hard and low into the box, with Spurs widely open and defender nearing the post, Ramsey was able to nip in and equalise the score for Gunners with a point-blank range, thus making the score 1-1 .
A picture of Ramsey |
Good things didn’t last for Arsenal as the Spurs Kyle Walker put them back in front on the 73rd minute mark. A goal which got on the way when Sandro picks out Modric and got stuck under his feet in which Alex Song was able to snatch the ball away and breaking to Walker who unleashes a fireball shoot from outside the box, going through the defenders, and going through the keeper Szczesny turning the score into Tottenham 2 Arsenal 1. A brilliant shot from a young and talented player. Szszesny, although did not said anything, showed us that he could had done better and save it, his expression suggested so.

The game then ended with not much of a fight from Arsenal after the second goal. The team probably already got discourage from it and needed a rest. Although a little incident happen between Wenger and Clive after the match, but it didn’t affected the more than Clive feelings. Even when interview, Wenger claimed that he already shook hands with the manager and does not see the needs to shake with so many people. Will Arsene finds his glory days back again ? Will the ‘curse’ lifts? When will it ‘lifts’ ? Only time will tell what awaits Arsenal, and I sincerely hope that they do get back on their paced and find light before it’s too late.
